For the purposes of establishing university, advanced technology institute, conservatory, research and application center, academy and equivalent schools and giving scholarship to students of all age groups and with the ideal of raising individuals who are beneficial both to our country and all the humankind in general, Sistem Education and Culture Foundation started its activities on July 5, 2007 in accordance with the principles specified in Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The main purpose of our foundation which brings together the preeminent entrepreneurs and academicians of our country, is to raise our nation to the level of contemporary civilizations on the path drawn by Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. In order to realize its establishment goals, the Board of Trustees of the Foundation at the meeting on March 30, 2008 has decided to establish a foundation university named as “Süleyman Şah University” in Istanbul.
In accordance with the Law Regarding the Amendments on the Organization of Higher Education Institutions Law no. 5981 which was accepted on April, 15 2010 and published on official gazette dated April 24, 2010, as being subject to provisions of foundation higher education institutions of Higher Education Law no. 2547 and owing public entity, our university was established as “Süleyman Şah University” was established by Sistem Education and Culture Foundation. Sistem Education and Culture Foundation has started its activities with the ideal of raising individuals beneficial to our nation and whole humanity in accordance with the principles specified in Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The main purpose of Süleyman Şah University is to develop careers of students according to their personalities and capabilities and create a process in which they find themselves. Süleyman Şah University has accordingly a boutique stance. It is a thematic university: in order to raise social scientists, it acts within very limited number of departments.
Therefore; it creates the opportunity for peer to peer connection with students and career development. Giving education 100% in English, Süleyman Şah University interacts with the international universities. It organizes joint projects with Europe and hosts foreign academicians periodically. It organizes exchange programs for students who want to get acquainted with different visions. Therefore, it raises individuals who know what s/he wants from life, expert in his/her field, happy with his/her professing and have an international vision.

For undergraduate programs, except with regards to the compulsory English language program, students who are successful according to the evaluation to be carried out at the end of every academic year are exempted from tuition for the next year in an amount to be decided by the Board of Trustees .
