Salford is an ambitious University, with our 20,000 students contributing enormously to the local economy and our expertise transforming individuals and communities through excellent teaching, research, innovation and engagement.
We are leading in areas, including health, energy, media and the built environment and have completed impressive work with business and industry partners.
Come to Salford and you’ll be based on a leafy, riverside campus that is only one and half miles (3km) from Manchester city centre – so you’ll get the best of both worlds.
With the opening of our MediaCity campus (right next to the BBC) we now have four campuses. Three are within a 10 minute walk of each other and the fourth, at MediaCity, is connected via a free bus service that runs every 10 minutes.
We’re also continuing to invest heavily in our campus and facilities, to ensure you get a great university experience.
If you come to Salford from overseas, you’ll receive a very warm welcome. More than 3,000 international students from over 100 countries are currently studying at the University, and you’ll be based just a mile or so from one of Europe's major cities.
With two cities on your doorstep, you’ll never be short of things to do or places to go while you’re studying at Salford. We’re located just minutes from the cosmopolitan Manchester city centre and part of one of Europe’s largest student populations – and all the nightlife and culture that comes with it.
