Overview

Founded in 1979, Doctors Foundation of Turkey is the first foundation to serve in medical area in the country.

 

Şifa University and Şifa Healthcare Group was founded by the Doctors Foundation of Turkey.

 

Şifa Healthcare Group added “training” side to the “healthcare” side with Şifa University and had a certain step to its target of creating a “Şifa” school in healthcare area.

 

The Şifa University, founded in order to make contribution to eliminate the doctor and nurse shortage in Turkey, gives education in Bayraklı, Izmir. The Şifa Hospital in Bornova serves to the students as an “education and research hospital” where education with active contribution is given. Therefore, the technical hardware and personnel experience of the Şifa Hospitals are put into service to healthcare education with all opportunities.

 

Şifa University is a “branch university” giving education in healthcare area. It  focuses on the education and research in healthcare area with its managerial staff and the proven, experienced education staff, with its all energy, hardware, and the educational opportunities it provides.

Scholarships

Below scholarships are general. Please contact the International Relations Office to learn about the scholarships for international students.

 

SIFA SUCCESS SCHOLARSHIP: It is the non-refundable grant in the amount determined by the university.

LYS SCHOLARSHIP: Foreign students succeeding at university placement examinations in Turkey (LYS) have the whole scholarship rights granted to Turkish students.

ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP: It is the scholarship opportunity to cover the whole or half of tuition owing to the success of students during education.

HEALTHCARE OPPORTUNITIES: All of our registered students are examined at Sifa University hospitals free. These opportunities are provided throughout the education period continuously.

 

NOTE: If our students win more than one of Sifa success scholarship, LYS scholarship or Academic achievement scholarship, they can benefit from the most favorable opportunity.
