Overview

History

EUL is an international university with a multicultural population of students from 35 different countries and has distinguished and experienced academic staff from around the world. The medium of instruction is English. EUL offers 6 Associate, 38 Undergraduate and13 Postgraduate programmes.

The world wide recognition of the European University of Lefke is obtained by the accreditation of the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Turkey (YÖK). Within this framework of YÖK accreditation, the EUL students have transfer opportunities to other international universities all over the world. The European University of Lefke is one of the most affordable tuition opportunities for international students.

Besides international partnership with other universities, the University has also become a member of the various worldwide prestigious associations in the higher education sector.

Location

Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean after Sardinia and Sicily. It lies 70 km. from Turkey, 100 km. from Syria and 320 km. from Egypt. The campus is situated in the west of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), only 45 minutes from the capital Lefkoşa (Nicosia), 60 minutes from Ercan Airport and 80 minutes from the farthest seaport of Gazi Mağusa (Famagusta). 

Lefke

Lefke is a small town located below the Trodos Mountains. It is famous for its citrus fruits and citrus groves. The actual campus of the European University of Lefke is situated between the sea and the mountains of the region.  Spectacular sea and mountain views can be seen from all areas of the campus. The Lefke area is full of history, culture, and natural beauty.  Students of EUL can discover nearby historical ruins, go swimming at any one of the nearby beaches, enjoy amazing views from mountain tops or by the seashore.  There are countless cultural activities and events that occur through the year in Lefke in which students can participate. There are also many shops, cafes, and restaurants within a 10 minute walking distance from the EUL campus.  Students can eat, drink, or read at seaside cafes and restaurants, or shop along the main road of this friendly town.

Climate

Cyprus enjoys a Mediterranean climate, with long dry summers from mid-May to mid-October and with mild winters from December to February, which are separated by short autumn and spring seasons.

English Requirements


Scholarships

The EUL has decided to grant 40% tuition fee scholarship that is offered exclusively to the International freshman students who choose to enroll for the Fall Intake 2014/2015. Students need to apply to the International Office for the availability and the requirements of the scholarship grant.

Undergraduate Programme Fees

5,000 USD (per academic year) *
*with 40 % scholarship, 3,800 USD per academic year, including registration fee, health insurance fee, other fees and VAT

Graduate Programme Fees

Master Programmes with Thesis *

5,150 USD * (7courses + seminar + thesis)
*Registration fee, health insurance fee, other fees and VAT are all inclusive within the specified amount and also includes thesis registration for two (2) semesters.

Master Programmes without Thesis *

4,640 USD* (10 courses + project)
*Registration fee, health insurance fee, other fees and VAT are all inclusive within the specified amount and also includes project registration for 1 semester.

Post Graduate Programme Fees (PhD)

8,500 USD* (7 courses + seminar + thesis)
* Registration fee, health insurance fee, other fees and VAT are all inclusive within the specified amount and also includes thesis registration for four (4) semesters.
