Scholarships

Scholarship for Overseas Students (SOS)

For applicants commencing study of any subject (excluding HYMS students) at any level as a full-time student at the University of York in the academic year 2014/15.

·         The scholarship is worth one-third or one-sixth of the overseas tuition fee for each year of successful study.

·         This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.

·         You must hold an offer for academic study commencing in September 2014 to be eligible to apply.

·         The deadline for applications is 30 April 2014 - This scholarship is now closed to applications.

Overseas Research Scholarship (ORS)

For applicants commencing PhD study at the University of York in the academic year 2014/15. Students must be outstanding academically and have the support of their chosen department at York.

·         The scholarship will pay the full overseas tuition fee and a stipend of £5,000 per year for each year of successful study.

·         This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.

·         You must hold an offer for PhD study commencing in October 2014 to be eligible to apply.

·         The deadline for applications is 30 April 2014 - This scholarship is now closed to applications.

Overseas Continuation Scholarship (OCS)

For current University of York Masters students who are progressing to PhD studies at the University of York in the academic year 2014/15.

·         The scholarship is worth £5,000 in the first year of study as a deduction from tuition fees.

·         This is a competitive scholarship based on academic merit and financial need.

·         You must hold an offer for PhD study commencing in September 2014 and be a current University of York Masters student to be eligible to apply.

·         The deadline for applications is 30 April 2014 - This scholarship is now closed to applications.
