Founded in 1835, The College at Brockport is a nationally recognized four-year comprehensive public college focused on student success. We are proud of our academic quality and exceptional value.

Our 464-acre campus has 67 buildings occupying about one-quarter of the campus, with rolling grassy fields and wooded land. Brockport, NY, is a small college town of 8,100 residents located on the historic Erie Canal. Located in Greater Rochester (Monroe County), the campus is 16 miles from downtown, 45 miles east of Buffalo, NY, and is a short drive from the Canadian border. Learn more about Brockport’s history.

Brockport offers 49 undergraduate majors, 50+ master’s degree programs, and teacher certification in 26 areas. Each year, The College at Brockport awards approximately 25 percent of all bachelor's degrees in the Rochester area, with many alumni staying in Rochester to work or attend graduate school. Our alumni serve in leadership roles in business, government, public safety, health care, the arts, sciences and education.

Scholarships

The College at Brockport awards more than $3 million in scholarships and grants annually to outstanding students thanks to support from our alumni, faculty and friends. Scholarships are awarded to new and continuing students based on academic performance, leadership experience, talent, financial need, and other criteria that are specified by the scholarship donor.

The Extraordinary Academic Scholarship Program

The Extraordinary Academic Scholarship Program grants scholarships to entering freshmen.The College will automatically award these scholarships as students (including international students) are accepted for fall admission. No separate application or essay is required.Candidates must be first-time freshmen students entering from high school and meet the high school average, class rank and SAT or ACT requirements to qualify. The College awarded more than $2.0 million in 2013-2014 to extraordinary students for excellence in the classroom.
